KARACHI - Crime Investigation Department of Anti Extremist Cell claimed to have arrested six alleged operatives of Lashker-e-Jhangvi involved in the killing of MQM MPA Sajid Qureshi and 25 others while recovered huge cache of weapons.SP CID/AEC Aslam Khan on a tip off raided Qazafi Chowk, Orangi Town and arrested six accused persons, including Talha aka Wiky, Muhammad Asif aka Capri, Kazim Ali Shah, Muhammad Farhan, Obaidur Rehman and Muhammad Shahab aka Chotta. Khan said that the accused were affiliated with Naeem Bukhari group of LJ. He said that the accused confessed that Hafiz Qasim Rasheed and Tahir Jimmi had given them the target but both of them were arrested earlier and now Sharee Orangi Town Wala was giving them the target. Khan quoted the confession of accused persons that they have killed MQM MPA Sajid Qurashi, his son Waqas Qurashi, Professor Sibte Jaffer and other 22 persons, including Shia and MQM workers. Police claimed to have seized three suicide jackets, a dozen hand grenades, nine pistols and other ammunition. Police also recovered a list of their future targets but did not public it. Further investigation was underway.Cop among three killed in Karachi: At least three people, including a policeman lost their lives in different incidents here on Thursday. A policeman namely Syed Arif Ali, 45, was shot by unidentified bike riders in the remits of Sachal Police Station. His body was moved to hospital for medic-legal formalities. However, motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained. In another incident, body of unidentified youth was found from Bakra Pehri area within the limits of Kharadar Police Station. According to police, the hand and legs of the body were trussed. Police denied disclosing any further detail of the incident. Separately, a woman identified as 28-year-old Naveen Khan, wife of Shahriq Ali Khan, allegedly committed suicide at Sumeer Avenue Apartments of Gulistan-e-Jauhar in the remits of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Police Station. Station House Officer Malik Saleem told that the deceased was mother of two children and her husband works as an estate agent. The police, doubting the incident a murder, arrested her husband but released later on. The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
