Edible oil tankers association announces strike for five days



KARACHI  - The edible Oil Tankers Association has announced strike after the attack on the supply of Edible oil tankers.As per media reports, the edible oil tanker was fired at National Highway due to which five persons sustained severe injuries.After the firing incident the edible oil tankers blocked the National Highway and held protest demonstration while also announced strike.The former chairman of Banaspati Manufacturers Association Haji Muhammad Abdul Majeed claimed that the supply of edible is being stopped from terminal in Karachi for five days. If this situation continues the shortage of edible oil might rise in Karachi.Meanwhile: an assistant sub-inspector was killed when unknown gunmen opened fire in Manghopir area of Karachi Thursday, media reports said on Thursday.According to police, unidentified attackers opened fire on a man riding a motorcycle who died on the spot. Later, the victim was identified as Shahjahan Yousuf, 45. He was posted as an ASI in Maghopir police station.Witnesses told that the attackers were on foot and fled conveniently after shooting down the policeman.
