KARACHI - Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has been elected as new chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi.
JI Chief Munawar Hasan after consultation has appointed Hafiz Naeemur Rehman as JI Karachi Chief for three years.
The oath-taking ceremony of JI Karachi chief would be held on October 13 (tomorrow) in the presence of JI Sindh Ameer Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqui at Idara-e-Noor Haq.
It is pertinent to mention here that the selection of JI Karachi chief, according to the party constitution, is conducted through a process.
Proposals were taken from the JI members secretly and then the JI chief announces the name of new JI Karachi chief.
Hafiz Naeem was an active worker of Islami Jamiat Talba in his entire educational career and held some important party positions at district levels. He was acted as Nazim IJT in NED University in his academic career.
He was also served as Nazim Karachi, Nazim Sindh and Nazim-e-Aala of IJT. Nowadays, he is serving as JI Naib Ameer Karachi.
