Prize-distribution ceremony

KARACHI - The annual prize distribution and talent show of DHA Iqra Model High School was held here on Friday. Director Education DHA Brig (r) Iftikhar Arshad Khan was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that education should be balanced, whole some and encompassing to ensure harmonious development of mind and body of students. Iqra Model School is a new generation of schools in DHA which offers a unique blend of Hifz-e-Quran and modern scientific education to the students, he said. The director education said that newly devised education system is unique in the sense as it equip the students with knowledge of contemporary modern sciences and arts as well as imbibed in them the true Islamic moral and cultural values to make them dynamic and useful citizens of the society. Iftikhar Arshad said that the spirit of Islam envisages to constantly acquire knowledge and to seek advancement in life while practising the teachings and values of Islam in its real essence. He stated that the best way to follow Quran is to practice its teachings in one's daily life in true letter and spirit. Earlier, the Principal, Muhammad Hanif Ismail, presented the annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school. He said that all out efforts are being made to develop optimum potential and talent of the students at the school. The students later presented a fascinating and colourful variety program which was much appreciated by the audience. At the end, chief guest distributed prizes among the position holders and Hifz-e-Quaran winners.
