KARACHI - Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan Secretary General Allama Nasir Abbas Jaffari has stated that the US and its agents are involved in the present wave of sectarian violence in the largest city of Pakistan, Karachi. He urged the provincial government to unveil the culprits involved in the sectarian violence in the metropolis, and said that there is a conspiracy, hatched by the US, to put Muslims against Muslims. He was speaking at the workers’ meeting, held on Monday on his arrival to Karachi. He pointed out that the killing of innocent people in the City on daily basis speaks volume over the involvement of the US in the unrest. He further said that the US and Israel do not want Muslims, especially in Pakistan, to be united, as they had become gathered on the one platform to denounce the blasphemous movie, made in the US a short time ago. The colonial powers are not interested in peace of the metropolis, because they want to destablise the country, while unrest in Karachi make their desires fulfilled, he said and added that the provincial government has completely failed to protect the lives of citizens from the hands of terrorists. “The meager law and order situation in the City speaks volumes over the inefficiency of the law enforcement agencies. After this unstopped killing of the citizens on sectarian basis, there is no room for Sindh Governor, Sindh Chief Minister, IG Police and DIG Police to be remained on their positions,” he said and warned the government that if the Shia Muslims could not be protected in the city then the country’s constitution allows us to protect ourselves.
