KARACHI - The killing of a builder here on Friday added to the toll of the ongoing target killing wave while three other people including a minor were died and two sustained injuries in different incidents in the City here on Friday. The killing was occurred in the jurisdiction of Sachal Police while the unidentified assailants fled the scene. However, a case has been registered without any arrest, the police said. According to the police, 44-year-old Ghulam Rasool, a builder, the son of Abdul Hameed was shot dead near his house in Rashidi Goth, Bhittahiabad. Quoting the eyewitnesses, the Police said that the incident occurred when the deceased was returning home after offering Friday prayers at a local mosque near his residence. When suddenly four unknown armed motorcyclists intercepted him and opened fire at him. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him death. The Police said that the deceased, father of seven children, used to work with a local builders company and had a dispute with them. They said that he had also filed a petition against the company in a court and suspected that it might be the cause of his death. However, the Police said that it would be premature to say any thing about the cause as the investigation is underway. Meanwhile, eight-year-old Abdullah, the son of Farhan, a class two student, was crushed to death by a rashly driven car while his younger brother Mohammad Ali, 6, sustained injuries when they were playing outside their home located in Blessing Homes near Inquiry office, in the remits of Nazimabad Police. The Police have arrested car driver Junaid and registered a case against him. In another incident, a 12-year-old boy, identified as Mohammad Jan was crushed to death while his father Ahmed Gul was wounded in a road accident near Pankha Hotel in the jurisdiction of Sher Shah Police. The Police officials said that both the son and father were on their way back home in Urdu Bazaar, Saddar on a bicycle when a speeding oil tanker hit them. The tanker driver managed to flee from the scene. However, no case was registered till filing of the report. In Aziz Bhatti police precincts, a ten-year-old boy, his identified yet to be ascertained, was crushed by a speeding motorcycle while crossing Sir Shah Suleman Road near Essa Nagri. According to the Police, motorcyclist Sohail Danish has been arrested while a case has also been registered against him. The body was shifted to Edhi morgue, Sohrab Goth for an autopsy.
