ISLAMABAD - The balloting of Haj applications for 2008, under government's Haj Scheme, would be held on September 17. The decision was taken in a meeting under the chairmanship of Advisor to Prime Minister on Religious Affairs, Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi, here on Saturday.   The meeting also decided to extend the date of submission of Haj application forms under private Haj scheme till September22, 2008. Under the private Haj scheme, 79647 pilgrims will perform Haj this year. The meeting was informed that 149,280 applications had been received under govt Haj Scheme and only 85,000 applicants would be selected through a computerized balloting that would be held on Sep 17 in the committee room of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
