President urges philanthropists to help govt in provision of better healthcare facilities to masses

President Mamnoon Hussain says the government is taking all possible steps to provide better healthcare facilities to the people especially the poor.
He was performing the groundbreaking ceremony of Indus Hospital here on Sunday.
Appreciating the government's policies in economy‚ education‚ health and other sectors‚ the President expressed the confidence that the country will make speedy progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He called for concerted efforts to make Pakistan a developed country.   
The President expressed the hope that philanthropists would continue to play greater role in complementing government's efforts to provide relief to the needy and the poor.
He said if the private and public sector work together they can overcome the
challenges and make Pakistan a prosperous country.
The President said primary education should be entrusted to women as this would lead to promotion of education and help enhance enrolment especially of the girls. 
Under the project‚ the number of bed in Indus Hospital will be increased from 150 to 1‚500. A medical university will also be a part of the project to provide the best medical education to the students.
The President said it is heartening to see that a lot of affluent people and philanthropists have come forward for the completion of this project to serve the humanity.
The President also announced a donation of 5 million rupees for the hospital.
