Karachi: Power supply restored after major breakdown

Karachi- The power supply to most parts of the city was restored after three hours following a rare electricity breakdown.
The port city plunged into darkness a little after midnight on Thursday owing to multiple grid stations of the K-Electric (previously KESC) going offline. The widespread outage affected Saddar, Clifton, Garden, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Burns Road, Jamshed Town, Jacob Lines, New Town, Nazimabad block 8, 9 and 10, Soldier Bazar, as well as the Governor House and the Chief Minister House.
According to a tweet from the power generation company's twitter account, 11 out of 62 grid stations tripped, causing the power breakdown.
