KARACHI/ISLAMABAD - PPP Patron-in-Chief, Bilawal Zardari and former Interior Minister Rehman Malik Sunday condemned the attack on an FC convoy in Bannu, in which 22 personnel lost their lives.
According to a condemnation message by the PPP media cell, Bilawal strongly condemned the incident, terming it a coward attack on FC's brave soldiers who were fighting to save their motherland from scourge of beastly terrorism. He said those who have refused to recognise the TTP as an enemy and perpetuated the myth of 'peace talks' have blood on their hands. Bilawal said, "Our soldiers are being killed. Our patriotic politicians are being mowed down. Almost every institution and segment of our society is being attacked barring the scared and apologetic ostriches."
He added, "From mosques to schools, hospitals to churches, media houses to military cantonments, prisons to Tableeghi Markaz, these beasts are attacking everything that protects and upholds the flag of Islam and Pakistan." He said the entire nation needs to rise up against these anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan elements, and finish them off before they annihilate the entire nation.
Bilawal expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace for the souls of martyred soldiers.
Meanwhile, Rehman Malik also condemned the attack on FC personnel in Bannu.
In his message on Twitter, Malik wrote, "I strongly condemn yet another act of terrorism on our FC. This brave force is continuously sacrificing while fighting against Taliban in FATA."
He further tweeted, "Gov (government) of Pak (Pakistan) is pursing dialogue with Taliban and in response they are hitting with bombs/terror to our FC/police/media/innocents. How long?" He urged the government to review its policy of holding peace talks with the Taliban.
"The terrorist attack on FC is a big slap on the face of those people who still insist for dialogue/present anti terror policy," he added.
