KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has said that the present day is a day of information technology and it is considered a key to success.
He expressed these views while giving a lecture to office bearers of different wings. In his lecture he told the participants about the importance and usefulness of print and electronic media, including social media. Members of the MQM coordination Committee were also present on the occasion.
He was of the view that there are different ways of communication. TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, telephone, cellphones, computer, internet, books, libraries, nurseries, schools, colleges, universities are popular forms of communication. People who are involved in charities and struggle against injustices and fight for rights should keep themselves abreast with the current affairs, he said. "We cannot call a person well-informed unless he keeps himself abreast of all the latest developments. People of developed countries are regarded educated because they are well-informed about the developments in every field and they formulate their future policies on the basis of this information", he added. –Our Staff Reporter
“If we want put Pakistan in the comity of developed nations then our citizens must know what is happening around the globe. Our young people should get the knowledge of the field of information technology,” he added.
He informed the participants about his student life and modes of communication and media when he started his movement ,adding, that even today in London he participates in the preparation of news.
He said all the workers associated with the movement should work diligently and honestly, and should follow the news keenly so things can be rectified or corrected.
