Faryal up for political victimisation,says PML-N

KARACHI - Provincial leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz have alleged that the PPP government, right from coming into power in 2008, has started political victimisation of PML-N office-bearers and active workers in the province and forcing them to change their political loyalties.PML-N leader Salim Zia, Muhammad Ismael Rahu, Nehal Hashmi, PML-N’s provincial chief organizer of ladies wing Zahida Bhand, Parveen Bashir and others while addressing a joint press conference at Karachi Press Club on Tuesday said that seeing its defeat in the general elections, the ruling PPP accelerated its political victimisation.Former provincial minister and PML-N leader Ismail Rahu counted long list of his party’s district leaders in Badin district, who have been implicated in dozens of false cases. Rahu alleged that former district nazim of the Badin, Kamal Chang on the instruction of PPP leader Faryal Talpur, occupied the 350 acres agriculture land of PML-N activist Dadan Khan Nizamani in the district, besides over half of FIRs have been lodged against him in different police stations of district. The PPP after coming into power lodged false cases against the Union Nazims and councilors of the party in Golarchi Tehseel and illegally thrown out my brother and ex-Tehseel nazim Muhammad Aslam Rahu from the elected post of the nazim, said the PML-N leader.He added that other party workers including Ghulam Haider Shah, Qadir Shah, Ibrahim Halepoto, Ali Nawaz Shah and Ghulam Nabi Shah are implicated in false cases with a plot to change their political loyalty.Under a plot of pre-poll rigging, the PPP government was busy changing the polling stations in my electoral constituency, PML-N leader Ismail Rahu alleged. He appealed to the Chief Election Commissioner to take notice of the change of polling stations.He said that he would file a petition in the Sindh High Court against the injustices and change of polling stations.Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to the Ulema belonging to different schools of thought, particularly the Shia and the Sunni people, to respect each others’ beliefs and sects with open hearts and defeat the conspiracy of sparking sectarian strife. He said that there was complete harmony between the people in the country, especially in Sindh, but some elements magnifying differences by resorting to violence and bloodshed. He said that their actions were highly condemnable and aimed at harming the unity of the people. Altaf said that killing innocent people on the basis of sectarian differences and provoking people into violence is totally against the teachings of Islam. He said he would appeal to everyone to maintain complete harmony and brotherhood and not to waste the efforts of the MQM in this regard.He said that the sentiments of the people should not be hurt by talking about parochial differences as the elements wanting to kindle the fire of sectarianism could take advantage and undermine the environment of peace and unity.
