Dead body of one person was recovered while four persons were injured upon resistance during a robbery attempt here in Karachi on late Tuesday night. The police arrested two outlaws during separate raids. According to police, dead body of a 30 year old unknown person was recovered from an under construction building in Qureshi Colony in Gul Bahar Police Station jurisdiction. The police said that the deceased was shot dead after kidnapping him and later his body was dumped in the said building. In another incident, armed robbers barged into a house located in Ayub Goth area of the city and started looting valuables at gunpoint. Upon resistance from the residents the robbers opened fire injuring four people and fled with the looted valuables. The police reached the scene soon after the incident and started search for the robbers. However taking the advantage of darkness they managed to flee. The injured identified as Muhammad Usman 50, Abdul Hameed 30, Farooq 28, and Zahoor Ahmed 16, were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Brigade police carried out raid in Lines Area upon the secret intelligence provided by law enforcement agencies, rounding up a political activist and seized three rifles from his possession. The accused was later identified as Kamran alias Bengali. Meanwhile the police on a tip off conducted raid at a house in Macchar Colony and arrested an alleged murderer Muhammad Hussain. The detainee was involved in murder of Mumtaz Hussain, an activist of a political party.
