PIA plane develops technical fault

KARACHI - The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK 785 from Islamabad to London developed a technical fault during flight and landed safely at Moscow Airport, a PIA spokesman said here on Sunday night.
The spokesman said that flight PK 785 departed from Islamabad at 10:00 am (PST) and landed at Moscow Airport 3:30 pm (PST) with 128 passengers and four infants on board.
All passengers and crew remained safe and were looked after at Moscow Airport lounge, he added. Another PIA flight PK 701 which was already airborne for Manchester from Islamabad was directed to land at Moscow Airport to pick up the passengers of PK 785 for onward journey to London, the PIA spokesman informed.
He said that the PIA management remained in constant touch with Moscow Airport authorities, Pakistan Embassy and PIA crew.
PIA flight PK 701 Islamabad-Manchester landed at Moscow Airport 10:00 pm to carry the passengers of flight PK 785.
The PIA regrets the inconvenience caused to the passengers, the spokesman added.
