KARACHI - The four-member medical board established for autopsy of advocate Naimat Randhawa has declared the first medical (autopsy) report issued by the MLO of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital as faulty.
As per sources, on Monday a four-member medical board comprising Prof Farhat Abbas Mirza, Police Surgeon Dr Jalil Qadir, senior MLO Dr Saleem and Dr Tariq Abbasi, following court orders, reached the graveyard of Paposh Nagar for exhumation of the victim’s grave.
After taking samples from the dead body under the supervision of SDM Central Shujaa Hussain, the medical board issued the 2nd medical report. In the new report, the previous report which was compiled by MLO Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Nadeem-ud-din has been clearly declared faulty.
Advocate Naimat Ali Randhawa who was a counsel in the murder case of Wali Khan Babar (a reporter of a private TV channel) and was gunned down on September 26 in North Nazimabad. After the autopsy of Naimat Randhawa was done in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, differences were found in the medical report of MLO and other doctors.
The MLO wrote in his report that victim has been shot with only one bullet to his head. Police had declared in its report that 3 bullets were fired on Naimat Randhawa. After the reexamination of samples, the medical board has confirmed the report of police.
It should be noticed that member Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Kazim Abbas was arrested under the allegation of murdering advocate Naimat Randhawa.
