KARACHI - After five days of attack on anchorperson Hamid Mir, Airport Police have registered an FIR against two unidentified men on Wednesday evening.
The complaint was recorded on the statement of Sub-Inspector Khan that one assailant who was standing under the Jinnah Bridge opened indiscriminate fire at Mir. He later even followed Mir’s car with the help of his comrade who was riding a motorcycle.
Hamid Mir was injured on Saturday evening when he was going to his office from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Police said Hamid Mir had not given his statement due to his unconscious condition, hence, police registered a case on the complaint of the State. Police will record Hamid Mir’s statement and that also make part of the FIR after his condition will normalised.
