Four bodies found in Karachi

KARACHI - Mochko police found the bodies of four abducted men in Karachi on Monday.
The victims were blindfolded and their hands and legs were also tightened with ropes. The bodies were lying in the bushes of Raees Goth area of Baldia Town.
Police were informed by the residents of the areas. Later, it shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Karachi for autopsies. The bodies were later shifted to morgue, Sohrab Goth for identification. Police said the victims aged from 22 to 35. They were kept in the custody of assailants where they were subjected to torture. The assailants later took them to the said place and shot them multiple times. Police have also found the empty shells of 9mm pistols from the crime scene. A case has been registered and further investigation was underway.
Separately, a girl was killed inside her house in Jutt Line area in Brigade police precincts. The victim was identified as Nazia, 18. She was shot once in her head. The body was taken to Civil Hospital for autopsy from where her family took it away without medicolegal formalities. The family of the victim said she was killed over offering resistance in a robbing bid. SHO Ghulam Nabi Afridi suggested that the girl committed suicide by shooting herself over family dispute, however, the family was trying to change the nature of the her death.
In a separate incident, the wife of a local leader of Pakistan People’s Party survived a murderous attack when armed motorcyclists opened indiscriminate fire at her. Nadra Sohail, wife of PPP’s local leader Sohail Ansari, was shot shortly after she left her apartment situated near main Numaish Chowrangi at MA Jinnah Road. The armed assailants were managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime. The injured was immediately shifted to Aga Khan University Hospital.
The injured is associated with the Sindh Education department. No case has been registered till this report was filed.
