KARACHI - The FIA investigators on Tuesday submitted the final challan against Javed Khanani and Munaf Kalia before the District and Sessions Judge South Faheem Ahmed Siddiqui, while the court has proclaimed as absconder of the 8 other accused and adjourned the hearing till March 3. The court conducted the hearing, where the FIA officials submitted two challans against the accused including foreign exchange regulation, and provisional and electronic media before the court. The court has proclaimed absconders eight accused including Altaf Khanani, Iqbal Katwasi, Javed Qasim, Asif Polani, Arif Zikria, Amair Zikria, Abdul Azeem and Javed Polani, while the court directed the interior ministry to issue red warrants against them. The court also directed to provide medical treatment to Javed Khanani as his council told the court that the client is not being given such facility in the prison. On the other side, a division bench of Sindh High Court comprised of Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Arshad Noor Khan summoned the Chief Secretary Sindh and other respondents to submit their comments on the petition moved by Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) till March 16. In the petition, Nazar Hussain Sheikh submitted that he is an official of ACE in grade-14, he has been appointed in 1985. He said that despite fulfilling the merit, he has not been promoted in upper grade, however, the officials who were junior than him had been promoted while he had been ignored in this regard. He made respondents to Chief Secretary Sindh, Chairman AEC, Director AEC and other officials concerned in the petition. The plaintiff prayed that his matter should be considered for promotion in the upper grade. Meanwhile, a single bench of Sindh High Court of Justice Muhammad Attar Saeed has issued notice to Inspector General of Sindh Police, CCPO Karachi and other respondents for seeking explanation over the petition moved by Syed Kashif Ali Bukhari till March 15. The plaintiff moved by his council Javed Chatari stated that he had been harassed by his ex-wife by registering false cases in different police stations of the City. He submitted that he got married with Shumaila Naz in 2005, but they were divorced after seven months, and then she got married with another man named Fayyaz, but she again divorced him only after five or six days. He said that she had registered several false and baseless cases against him at different police stations to put pressure on him. The petitioner also submitted that she also moved to KBA against his lawyer Javed. He made respondent to IG Sindh, CCPO Karachi and other officials concerned. He prayed that the details of the cases launched against him at different police stations should be produced before the court.
