KARACHI - Additional District Judge (East) on Wednesday acquitted an accused allegedly involved in Lyari gang war in police encounters and other cases. The suspect Sattar Baloch ailas Pera was accused in attempt to murder case, police encounters, extortion, dacoities and other such charges. He was acquitted by the court for want of evidences in two cases of attempt to murder and police encounters, as the prosecution failed to produce any solid evidence before the court against him. The suspect was also charged in escaping from the city court premises when he was to be produced in the trail court. He had been booked by the Bagdadi police around two years ago.
