KARACHI - The members of doctors’ community have staged a sit-in protest outside the Civic Centre, Karachi and blocked the traffic to get the attention of the government towards the brutal murder of Prof Dr Javed Iqbal Qazi. 
The protestors demanded the government to take necessary measures to arrest the killers of the competent doctor and educationist, who shot dead few days when he was leaving Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) after delivering a lecture.  Earlier, a reference meeting was held in seminar hall of Civic Centre, where leaders of doctors’ community delivered their speeches over the brutal murder of the dead doctor. 
KMDC Principal Prof. Waqar Kazmi demanded the government to give protection to doctors community especially working in KMC hospitals. He said that this is the need of hour to give severe punishment to killers of the senior doctor.
Central Leader of PMA Dr. Qaiser Sajjad said that killers should be given stern punishment so that any criminal could not dare to do this again.
At occasion, former President PMA Prof. Tipu Sultan and Dr. Salma Kosar also spoke on the occasion.
