KARACHI - Hundreds of Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen protesters demanded the government to launch a countrywide operation against the banned terror outfits involved in the genocide of Shiite Muslims.
During a protest held outside the Press Club here Sunday, they condemned the banned outfits’ attack on Shia community in Kotla Jam and Daraya Khan areas of district Bhakkar in the patronage of the biased Punjab government. Addressing the demonstration, MWM leaders Allama Sadiq Taqvi, Maulana Dedar Jalbani and Asif Safvi condemned the Punjab government and police for conducting crack down against the Shiite Muslims in Bhakkar and asked why DPO Chaudhry Sarfaraz has not been arrested for his negligence and support to the banned terror outfit.
They accused Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah of supporting terrorists in the province for his electoral interest. They said that dozens of Shiite men have been detained in fake cases lodged by Bhakkar police on the directives of Rana Sanaullah.
The MWM leaders demanded immediate release of all the detained Shiite men and withdrawal of fake cases against them. They further demanded the government to arrest the terrorists involved in the killing of innocent people in Bhakkar and warned of the stern action if the detained youths were not freed forthwith.
