KARACHI - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) Sindh chapter in a move to express solidarity with the Armed forces organised "Pakistan Zindabad Rally" here on Sunday.
A large number of Q-league workers gathered at Karsaz, Shahrah-e-Faisal, and the crowd changed in a rally comprising of cars, motorcycles, jeeps, buses, coasters, rickshaws and land cruisers.
The workers of PML-Q ladies wing, labour wing, lawyers wing, Ulema wing and Youth wing were displaying banners and posters in their hands written with slogans in the support of Armed forces.
The rally kicked off from Karsaz and reached Karachi Press Club (KPC) where stage was made on a long coach on which big banners were placed carrying the pictures of PML-Q central leadership and the heads of Pakistan Armed forces.
On the occasion, Haleem Adil Shaikh, President PML-Q Sindh, said that the purpose this big event was to express complete solidarity with the defence institutions of the country as they have been targeted by some elements who probably have support of external anti-Pakistan forces.
He said that Pakistan Armed Forces are not alone, 180 million people of the country are with our brave Armed Forces.
He said that so-called heavy mandate of PML-N government was result of the manipulation of the elections and does not reflect to support of the majority people of country.
PML-N had made tall claims for ending loadshedding in six months and now they are making excuses and misguiding the nation, he added.
He said that they have mortgaged each Pakistani to the IMF and World Bank and only achievement of this government that they have doubled the national debt. "In the name of peace negotiations with Taliban, the government has played a big drama with the nation, our innocent citizens,Armed Forces are still being killed by the extremists forces with whom government wants to continue peace talks", he said.
He further said that Mian Nawaz Sharif is meeting the Indian Prime Minister-elect but Nawaz Sharif must not forget that Modi is the same person whose held responsible for genocide of innocent Muslims of Gujrat for which he even refuses to have apologised.
PML-Q Sindh chief emphasised when Nawaz Sharif meets Modi, he should not engage in trivial issues of selling and buying potatoes and onions but should discuss seriously major issues which include Kashmir issue, Siachen, violation of Indus water treaty by the India and Indian interference in Balochistan.
He said that an independent and impartial Election Commission should be re-constituted, honest and independent members should be appointed for holding of fair and free elections.
Babu Sarwar Siyal Secretary General, G.R Baloch, Additional Secretary General, Jafar-ul-Hassan, President Karachi Division, Latif Rind, Syed Rafiullah, President Youth wing, Naeem Adil Shaikh, Javed Aiwan, Farida Leghari, Shazi Maqsood, Zeeshan Panhwer, and others also spoke on the occasion.
