KARACHI - Different varieties of Eid cards have hit the market. Common among them are those printed with flowers, with historical sites in the background, at the sea harbour and definitely the Eid crescent in the backdrop of a mosque. Eid cards are still in fashion but with the invention of internet, the cyber electronic greeting cards and postcards with quotes and colours have also become a common sight. Eid cards are the most easier way to reach out to the near and dear ones with heartfelt messages. Usually people who are living far away send fond messages to their loved ones through Eid cards. Although shopping malls are not much crowded this year with the rising inflation, price-hike and security fears barred the citizens to stay at home but sending Eid cards is an old tradition. With the growing urbanisation the Eid cards sending culture has also enhanced. Major stalls have been set-up in different bazaars that exhibits a passion for these cards.
