KARACHI - Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has taken away the portfolio of Heath Ministry from Owaiz Muzaffar Tappi here on Thursday. The portfolio of Health Ministry has been taken away from Owaiz Muzaffar aka Tappi as he remained absent during the approval of various health bills in the provincial assembly sessions.
Sources revealed that action has been taken against him due to frequent complaints about the mismanagement in the health ministry.
Sources added Tappi was absent during the last four meetings in which the House passed three important bills into law while another bill was passed on to the special committee for reviews. They pointed out that the slot of health ministry is remained in the hands of Chief Minister. It is expected that the slot would be given to Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro. It is worth mentioning that Tappi is the foster brother of former President Asif Ali Zardari and is considered the most powerful minister of the provincial cabinet, who hold the portfolio of various ministries, including Local Government, Housing and Town Planning, Rural Development and Public Health Engineering with additional charge of Health Ministry.
