45th Convention of Institute of Engineers Pakistan held

KARACHI - The 45th Convention of Institute of Engineers Pakistan was held here at the Institute on Thursday.Renowned atomic energy scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan presided over the event.Speaking on the occasion, he said that he was proud to be an engineer because engineering enabled him to invent atomic bomb for the country.He said that engineering provided basis for the development and betterment of mankind and introduced a new world.Dr Khan said that engineers are universally regarded as symbol of science, experiment and invention.He added that the foundation of Federation of Engineering Institute South Central Asia was praise worthy as it helps to exchange new ideas and earthquake data among the engineers of the world.Dr AQ Khan also awarded fellowship diploma to Engineer Syed Jamshed Rizvi, Engineer Zafar Zubairi, Engineer Sultan Mehmood, Engineer Ayaz Mirza, Engineer Sohail Bashir and Engineer Farhat Adil.
