KARACHI - Rana Muhammad Azim and Amin Yousaf have been elected as President and Secretary General in Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) elections.
According to a Press release issued by the PFUJ Rana Azim and Amin Yousaf panel swept the PFUJ elections.
Chairman Election Commission Sajid Ali Sajid announced the election results in the presence of delegates who gathered at Karachi and casted their votes.
Later, the PFUJ’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting was held which was presided over by newly elected President PFUJ Rana Muhammad Azim.
The meeting decided that next meetings of the delegates would be held at Bahawalpur, while FEC meeting would be held at the PFUJ’s head office at Islamabad.
The meeting also condemned some journalists who tried to sabotage the election by hooliganism and recommended the respective Union of Journalists (UJs) to take action against such elements. Addressing the meeting Amin Yousaf, who elected PFUJ Secretary General for second term, said some black sheep are trying to damage the journalists prestigious organisation PFUJ. He vowed that nefarious designs of these elements would be foiled.
Meanwhile, Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) President and Secretary General Wajid Raza Isfahani and APNEC (Karachi) Secretary Zahir Ahmed Khan congratulated Rana Azim and Amin Youaf on their victory in the PFUJ elections.
