KARACHI- A meeting of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) headed by the party's deputy convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui today asked the government to pay attention to the demands of protesters staging sit-in in Islamabad.
Siddiqui added that the leadership of the protesting parties should act patiently. The meeting was attended by MQM leaders Dr Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Kanwar Khalid Younis, Babar Ghouri, Nasrin Jalil and some party members.
The deadlock between the government and protesters was the main topic of discussion during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Sidiqqui said MQM chief Altaf Hussain is a sincere leader who will continue to raise his voice for the oppressed.
It was stressed during the meeting that the government should pay adequate attention to the demands of the protesters.
