Hafiz Naeem demands steps for provision of relief to masses

KARACHI  - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded of the government to take effective measures in order to provide relief to the masses in the holy month of Ramazan.
Hafiz Naeem on Sunday expressed his deep concern over the increase in the price of basic commodities including vegetables, fruits, honey, milk, yogurt and other items.
He also condemned the 5 per cent increase in customs duty on the import of 282 basic items, adding, that the said step by the govt was totally unjustified.
JI Karachi Chief further said that the government has increased the prices of basic commodities by 40 per cent as compared to last year at the advent of holy month of Ramazan.  Hafiz Naeem urged the government to pay heed towards the burning issues of the masses including inflation, unemployment and poverty, so that the people can get relief from the prevailing issues.
