KARACHI - The Lux Style Awards are finally being held in the City. With guest star appearances by the sultry movie actresses, the darling models and the small screen actresses add to the glitter of popular show, which is also regarded as the 'Oscars of Pakistan'. It is pertinent to mention here that the awards had earlier been scheduled to be held in Lahore, but were called off due to political situation of the country. The managing committee finally made its way to honour those who contribute so much and the board finally decided the venue as Karachi. The awards are presented from Pakistan and viewed to be of prime importance.  Only in recent times the event has become associated with a few celebrities who seem to have prejudices against it and are seen or heard voicing their disapproval of the show. But even then they are found on tenterhooks wondering if they are the ones who get it at the end of the day. The actors and the actresses are given awards for their remarkable performances the recent year, as per the categories chalked out by organisers. Till the filing of this report, not a single person ascended the Red Carpet. The godly divas were nowhere in sight.
