KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Engineer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded the government to decrease the petroleum prices by Rs15 immediately from November 1 instead of expected decrease by Rs3.
He demanded the petroleum prices should be declined and fixed at Rs50 so that the poor and deprived people could get some relief.
The expected decrease in petroleum prices will not sufficient. The PML-N government has put the people in distress by toeing the IMF polices. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his election campaign had made tall claims for redressal and resolution of public issues and grievances but all is gone now and he is busy putting the nation into the slavery of United States and the IMF, he said.
“The petroleum prices are regularly being increased in the country despite prominent decrease in the petroleum prices in international markets,” he added.
