3 Lyari gangsters, lady bandit killed in Karachi

KARACHI  - Six people including three alleged Lyari gangsters and a female bandit were killed in two separate ‘encounters’ with police on Sunday
As per details, three suspected gangsters of the Lyari gang war were killed in an alleged encounter with the police in Mochko area. Police officials claimed that they raided at the hideout of the gangsters near Lucky Pahari situated in Raees Goth area of Mochko. During exchange of fire, the three gangsters were killed while at least half a dozen of their associates managed to escape under the cover of firing.
The bodies of the gangsters were moved to the Civil Hospital Karachi where they were identified as Jaseem aka Golden, Shahid aka Mix Patti and Shoaib.
Karachi police spokesperson claimed that deceased gangsters were the residents of Lyari’s Singu Lane area and were associated with the Uzair Baloch group. The culprits were wanted in various heinous crimes and were proclaimed offenders as well. Arms, ammunition and hand-grenades were also recovered from their possession. Jaseem Golden and Shahid Mix Patti had reward money of one million each over their heads. Sindh government has announced Rs0.5 million as reward money for killing Shoaib while Additional IGP Karachi has also announced cash rewards with commendation certificates for the police party.
Separately, a woman and two of her male companions were killed when they were allegedly trying to commit a robbery at the bungalow in Scheme 33 in the limits of Sacchal Police Station. Police officials said the deceased woman and her two accomplices had entered the house owned by Ilyas Pasha working at the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
After entering the house, the robbers held the family members hostage at gunpoint and started looting the valuables and cash from the house. Cops reached the site after Pasha who was on the first floor of the house informed the police. Police sources said that Pasha killed all the three robbers with his own licenced pistol before the arrival of the police, however, the security officials claimed that police managed to kill them after an exchange of fire.
SHO Mohammad Shaukat said that injured succumbed to injuries on their way to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and added that woman was identified as Shahnaz, wife of Allah Ditta and a housemaid at Pasha’s home who along with his colleagues, Naeem and Tariq Abbas, tried to commit the robbery.
Meanwhile, over one dozen suspects were taken into custody during a targeted operation conducted by paramilitary force in North Nazimabad’s Mujahid Colony. Sources said the door-to-door search operation was conducted on a tip-off about the presence of suspects belonging to a banned outfit. They said the detainees were shifted to an undisclosed location for further question.
MQM WORKER SHOT DEAD: A worker of MQM was shot dead while a suspect died after he allegedly jumped off from a flyover to avoid his arrest here on Sunday.
According to details, a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement was shot dead in an act of targeted killing in Orangi Town on Sunday evening. Police officials said at least two armed men riding a motorcycle targeted and killed Shehzad, 28, when he was standing near his home in Aligarh Bazaar. SHO Tanvir Murad said he was shot at multiple times. The injured was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital with critical injuries where he succumbed to his injuries. He said a case had been registered while further investigation was underway.
Separately, a man was killed after he allegedly jumped off from a flyover to avoid his arrest. The incident took place when the deceased, Abdul Shakoor, was being shifted to the office of the Special Investigation Team at Saudabad after his arrest from Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. According to SIT in-charge, Ali Mohammad, during shifting to the SIT office, the accused, picked up by the police over his involvement in a murder case, managed to escape from the police van and tried to avoid the arrest by jumping off from the Sharah-e-Faisal flyover, As a result, he sustained injuries. The officer said that the injured succumbed to his wounds in his way to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
