LAHORE Above 3,200 police officers/officials including traffic wardens have been deputed to maintain law and order and to ensure smooth flow of traffic on citys arteries on the even of New Year Night. As per details, about 1,500 police personnel of Mohafiz Squad have been deployed at different points on Thursday night. In an official communiqu, the SP Mohafiz Squad has strictly warned the officers and directed them to remain alert to thwart any untoward incident. Meanwhile, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin warned the traffic wardens directing them to initiate a strict disciplinary action against the drivers involved in one-wheeling, reckless driving and racing on the eve of New Year Night.
