LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad has announced to make necessary alterations in the textbooks of various levels of education.
He announced this after proper consultation with educationists and the top position holders from the secondary and higher secondary education boards of the province. These alterations aimed at reaching a unified syllabus for both private and public sectors schools and colleges in Punjab, he said.
Addressing a ceremony to distribute medals and cash awards to the students achieving positions in BISE of Lahore and Gujranwala, he said the position holders are the role models for the nation as they earned honour in spite of massive loadshedding and economic melt of their parents. The whole world acknowledges their potential but some anti-state elements propagate negative image of Pakistan only because they fear that youth could lead Pakistan to a better future, if they are provided proper opportunities.–Staff Reporter
