Five POs held

LAHORE  - CIA Iqbal Town Police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested five proclaimed offenders allegedly involved in murder and snatching of rented vehicles, said spokesman for police.
He said that CCPO Ch Shafiq while taking notice of murder, attempted murder, dacoity, vehicle snatching and other crimes in the city ordered DIGs Investigation and Operations to arrest the criminals. SP CIA Umer Virk constituted a special team headed by DSP CIA, Iqbal Town which arrested five proclaimed offenders including Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Zubair, Waseem, Shafqat Ullah and Asif Ali.
Criminals Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Zubair kidnapped Monia Mumtaz of Iqbal Town after receiving an amount of one lac rupees from Amant Ali Shahzad for grabbing her property worth millions of rupees and killed her. They also murdered former Tehsildar Muhammad Sharif and Babu Cable Wala of Shadbagh. The other three accused Waseem, Shafqat Ullah and Asif Ali were involved in snatching rented vehicles after intoxicating the drivers and selling the vehicles in tribal area.
