LAHORE : Famous poet, writer and intellectual Shahzad Ahmad passed away in Lahore on Wednesday. He was 80 years old and one of the most popular poet of the present era. Shahzad was born on July 16, 1932, in Amratsar, and got degrees in philosophy and psychology from Government College Lahore. His first book of poetry titled ‘Sadaf’ was published in 1958. He was also awarded Tamgha-e-Husn-e-Karkardgi (Pride of Performance).
