LAHORE – The weeklong Sports Festival organised by the National Highways and Motorway Police came to an end on Thursday amid a colourful closing ceremony.
Federal Minister Communications Dr. Arbab Alamgir and Inspector General NH&MP Wajid Ali Khan were invited to the ceremony as chief guests.
DIG Training Shahid Yar Khan, DIG Motorways Jahanzeib Khan Jogezai, Zonal Commander N-5 Central SSP Nisar Soraya, Commandant Training College Riaz Nazir Ghara and other official of motorway police were also present on the occasion. Officials of West, N-5 South, N-5 Central, N-5 North, Motorways Zone, NH&MP Training College and NH&MP Headquarters participated in the week long sports events, which included Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volley ball, Tug of War, athletics and foot ball. N-5 Central Zone was declared the best among all NH&MP zones for its outstanding performance in different games.  Minister Communication Dr. Arbab Alamgir distributed trophies and medals among the winners and runner ups of different games. The minister presented the trophy of ‘Best Zone’ to the Zonal Commander N-5 Central SSP Nisar Soroya. While speaking on the occasion Minister Communication and I.G NH&MP showed their commitment to continue the kind of healthy activities within the force.
