LAHORE Pensioners on Tuesday strongly resented against disrespectful way to pay them pensions, saying that they are humiliated by Post Office employees in old age. The pensioners who had come to GPO for getting pension expressed these views in Nawa-i-Waqt survey. PTCL retired employee Sardar Khan said that one was there to help them. GPO employees demand Rs 100 gratification and then pension is paid to them. Another employee Muhamamd aslam said that he was given wrong pension book. Pensioner Rizwan said no one is paid pension without greasing the palms of GPO employees. The pensions also complained about lack of clean drinking facility and improper sitting arrangements.
