Special Education Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that for the first time in Lahore, the government is organizing a province-level Chief Minister's Sports Gala 2010 for special children. He was addressing a press conference at Directorate General Public Relations. The Minister said the sports event will enhance physical fitness of the special children and help them bring in the mainstream of the society. He said Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has approved a grant of Rs five million for the sports gala, adding that well-off people have also provided funds for holding the event. The Minister said successful teams of special children at the district and division level will reach Lahore on April 7, and the games will begin the next day in Punjab Hockey Stadium Lahore. He said Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony on April 10.
