LAHORE - A brilliant student Sardar Amir Hamza Dogar, who won Outstanding Cambridge Learners Award in A-level examinations, met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, on Wednesday. 
Hamza is a student of Garrison Academy Lahore who got eight A stars out of nine subjects in O-level examination while got 3 A stars in A-level Part-I examination on which he was awarded Outstanding Cambridge Learners Award by Cambridge International Examination.
The chief minister congratulated the student on his success in Cambridge examinations and said that the whole nation is proud of students like Hamza who has brought a good name to the country at the international level through his hard work, prayers of the parents and efforts of his teachers.
Shahbaz Sharif said that achievement of a prominent position in an international examination like Cambridge is an honour and students such as Hamza are a hope for Pakistan. He said that the Punjab government would continue to encourage talented and brilliant students achieving outstanding positions in examinations.
The chief minister also presented a pen to Hamza as a gift and advised him to win more laurels for the country in the field of education and play his role for national development and prosperity.
Hamza appreciated the educational reforms of Punjab government and said that Shahbaz Sharif is knowledge-friendly Chief Minister who has taken revolutionary steps for the development of education sector and his efforts are yielding positive results. He thanked the chief minister for his encouragement and said that he would continue to work hard in the interest of the country.
