Car snatchers still at large

LAHORE  - Police had failed to recover a car that was stolen five months ago in Samnabad area, the complainant said on Tuesday. Shahid Iqbal, resident of Samnabad, said he parked his car outside his home located near Aslam Hospital but it was stolen on July 27, 2013 at 9:30 pm. He said he bought car LRV 9805 of 2004 model, but it was stolen before he could transfer it in his name. Shahid said the car was in the name of Mirza Muhammad Rasheed son of Mirza Bashir Ahmad. Shahid Iqbal lodged an FIR No 405/13 with Samnabad Police Station under section 381/A of Pakistan Penal Code. Since the day of lodging FIR, no step was taken for the recovery of his car, he said adding that whenever he approached the officials concerned they made lame excuses.  The complainant pleaded to the higher authorities, particularity Inspector General Punjab to take notice of the negligence of Samnabad police station.
