LAHORE - Army and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) outclassed their opponents and kept their hopes alive for the championship crown to reach the final of ongoing 26th Captain Natha Khan Sher Jang memorial Volleyball Championship at Sansa (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) organised by Pakistan Occupied Kashmir Volleyball Association on Monday. The first semi-final match was played Army and Navy. The favourite Army spkiers prove their best to show to unbelievable victory against Navy by 3-2 on the two hours and 19 minutes match to take in the final. In the first set Navy spikers took lead through powerful spikes to won the set at the score of 33-31. Army team starts their campaign with rhythm and coordination in the second set of the match with successful blocking and services did not allow the Navy to take lead through out the game and won the set at the score of 25-17. Encourage by first set win Army spikers fought back with determination and mantel fitness in the second set. Both teams show their best but Army edge in the game and won the set by 25-16. Trilling by one set the Navy fought back with some quick points to take advantage and make some pressure against opponent team to win the set at the score of 25-21. In the fifth set to Army dominated the proceeding and at the time of changes of the courts they were leading Navy to put up some resistance at this stage but Army spikers at the moment were too strong by power spiking collative blocking and counter attack to win the wonderful victory by 15-13. In the second semi final encounter PAF thrashed Wapda by 3-1 reaches the final against Army. PAF got easy victory with the score of 25-18, 23-25, 25-11 and 25-17 On Tuesday (today) Army will take PAF in the final match.
