Australian HC's wife lauds Sweet Homes

LAHORE  - Susan Heyward, wife of Peter Heyward, Australian High Commissioner in Pakistan, on Monday complimented Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal's Sweet Homes project for giving honour, dignity and respect to orphan children and termed it a unique initiative aiming at bringing them to the mainstream of society.
During her visit to Sweet Homes established by Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal along with Goodwill Ambassador for Orphan Children Jahan Ara Wattoo, she praised Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal for providing shelter, quality education and grooming opportunities to children who had lost their parents and were left under the open skies with no one to look after them.
Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal, Col (Retd) Syed Ahmad Nadeem Qadri briefed her about facilities and education being provided to children.
Susan said, "There could be no substitute to the blessing of having parents but we can, at least, provide these children with social cover and an environment to help them stand on their own feet and become an asset to society".
All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Punjab President's wife Anika Bashir distributed schoolbags among the children.
