Arguing before the court, the defendants counsel said that the students were innocent and being implicated in the case. He said they had nothing to do with the allegations leveled against them. However, prosecutor said that they were involved in thrashing professors, snatching money, mobile from them, attempt to murder, arial firing, and setting ablaze to public properties. The judge sent them on physical remand into police custody.
Meanwhile, Muslim Town SHO was issued show cause notice by another magistrate over not producing police record of 13 students in after arrest-bail matter. The students’ counsel pleaded to the magistrate to direct police to produce police record. Upon which the record was summoned but Muslim Town SHO failed to abide by the order.
