LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has successfully introduced conference call meeting system for its internal communication.
LWMC Managing Director Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary delivered speech which was attended by 11 thousand workers across the city on 30 designated places including town hall. Addressing the workers, he said purpose of introduction of this system was to reduce the communication gap between management and the workers, and to easily get access to higher management for their concerns for immediate resolution.
The MD said that the company decided to pay the arrears of workers before the Eidul Azha, despite having not received funds from City District Government yet. Spokesperson said the company was going to release Rs 157 million to be paid to workers and it will be ensured to be transferred to their bank accounts by October 11, so that workers’ level of motivation can be enhanced for the coming challenge of Eidul Azha in terms of their cleanliness.
She further added that the conference call system has been made a permanent feature of communication and next conference call meeting will be held on October 11 about preparations of Eid, in which workers will also be able to express their views and suggestions.–Staff Reporter
