LAHORE - A 30-year-old woman was found strangled from the Township police vicinity on early Friday, police said. The body, packed in a sack, was lying on the heap of garbage as the investigators rushed to the spot. Some passersby spotted the suspected gunny bag and contacted the police.
The police termed the brutal killing as blind-murder and said that investigations are underway to ascertain identity of the deceased woman. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy.
The police say they believe some unidentified killers strangulated the woman to death with the help of her shawl somewhere else but fled away after throwing her sack-packed body on the heap of garbage near Milad Park in the limits of Township police. Further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, security and intelligence agencies carried out joint raids in different parts of the provincial metropolis and arrested two most-wanted killers, also involved in several cases of heinous crimes, police said on Friday.
