LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday that the Karbala tragedy reminds us of the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the grandson of Holy Prophet (PBUH), and his companions rendered for upholding the truth and supremacy of Islam. He said that the everlasting sacrifices of Shuhada-e-Karbala teach us the lesson of not hesitating from giving any sacrifice for the propagation of the truth and earning the blessings of Almighty Allah. In his message on the occasion of Yum-e-Ashur, Shahbaz Sharif said that the incident of Karbala was a battle between the right and wrong which gives us a lesson to resist the wrong. He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions set such an example of courage and bravery by not yielding to the evil in Karbala, the secret of the perennial life of Muslim Umah lies in following this example. He said that the great sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions upheld for ever the values of peace, tolerance and morality in Islam. He said that the sacrifice of Shuhada-e-Karbala was a beacon light for the entire humanity and the importance of following the philosophy of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA was no secret. He stressed the need of benefiting from the philosophy of Hussain (RA) for promoting the atmosphere of brotherhood, establishing peace and elimination of oppression and injustice.
