Federal Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has said that acute water shortage becoming serious due to Indian construction of dams on River Chenab and Jhelum. As Pakistan is an agriculturist country it is mainly dependable on its rivers for the supply of waters for irrigation . He said that the government is committed to raise the water issue with India as it is necessary for its survival. Talking to newsmen here on Saturday,Wattoo said that the prevalent joint national point of view among the political parties is just because of democracy, whereas criticism on the governmental policies is the right of other political parties.
