Law officers take Babar Awan to task

LAHORE – Wherein the senior lawyers have condemned the sarcastic attitude of PPP’s legal wizard Senator Babar Awan towards the Supreme Court, some of the federal law officers have also taken him to task on his cynical behaviour.
Some senior federation’s law officers on condition of anonymity said there were facing the pathetic attitude of Babar Awan for the last 4 years. They said Mr Awan often used derogatory remarks when he visits the High Court working throughout the country.
“The mocking behaviour of Mr Awan has led the government towards troubles,” deputy attorney generals (DAGs) and standing counsels claimed adding that they had complained so many times before President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minster Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani. “No one paid head on their complaints,” a senior DAG told on Thursday.
“We are bearing Mr Babar abusive language because we have no other choice,” they said.
Mr Awan had no right to interfere in their professional work because they only bound to report Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar-ul-Haq, law officers said. They demanded that the premier and president should restrain Mr Awan from using insulting language against the federal law officers who already facing the sever criticism before the judges of high courts during the defence of wrongdoings of federation.
Some of the federal law officers may go on silent protest if Mr Awan would not change his ‘kingly tune’, a standing counsel warned the federal government.
