LAHORE - The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Wednesday arrested a Ahlmad (clerk) of Sessions Court on the charges of getting bribe and misplacing land file of a citizen, said spokesman for ACE.
He said that Muhammad Naeem advocate complained the ACE Director Khalid Mahmood Sheikh that Ahlmad of Session Court Imtiaz Nazir Butt had misplaced the land file of her wife after getting Rs 50,000 bribe from Muhammad Saeed, resident of Allama Iqbal Town.
The spokesman said that Muhammad Naeem had land dispute with Muhammad Saeed and a case in this regard was registered with the Lower Mall Police Station. When police presented challan of Saeed in Sessions Court, then Imtiaz Butt had misplaced file of the property after getting Rs 50,000 as bribe from the accused.
Muhammad Naeem brought the matter to the notice of ACE director, who ordered inquiry into the case. Allegations were proved during inquiry and a case was registered against Imtiaz Butt. On Wednesday Zubair Akhlaq, Circle Officer ACE arrested the accused.
