LAHORE - Addressing a ceremony held at Governor House in honour of army soldiers and officers who rendered great sacrifices in the war against terror, Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar Wednesday said that western countries had a role in the deteriorating law and order situation in the country, particularly in the KP province.
The ceremony was also addressed by Editor-in-Chief, The Nation and Nawa-e-Waqt, Dr Majid Nizami and senior journalists including Mujeebur Rehman Shami and Dr Ajmal Niazi.
While paying tributes to the brave army men fighting against terrorists, the governor blamed European countries including USA and UK for their involvement in the troubled areas of FATA region.
He said Pakistan had played commendable role in the war against terrorism which was being appreciated at the world level. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Majid Nizami said that India wanted to destabilise Pakistan by supporting anti-statement elements. He also lauded the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan army to protect country’s frontiers.
